passione per le donne di Jim. Ma non solo...
Secondo alcuni
ascoltando "Twentieth Century Fox" e "Light My
Fire" ci si può accorgere che il sottofondo di basso del piano suonato
da Ray (i Doors non hanno mai avuto un bassista), nel momento prima del coro,
emette un suono che risulta di una ottava inferiore alle effettive possibilità
dello strumento suonato da Ray Manzarek. Se ne deduce che durante la
registrazione del brano in sala era presente un misterioso bassista.
Una donna originaria di Everett (U.S.A., WA), probabilmente tale Carol Kaye,
ha dichiarato in una intervista televisiva di aver suonato con i Doors durante
una session per la realizzazione del primo album.
Non si può neppure escludere che all'incisione abbiano partecipato anche
altri musicisti, ma l'orgoglio di Ray Manzarek probabilmente non ha mai
consentito che la notizia trapelasse ufficialmente.
