La canzone "Take It As It Comes" è dedicata al centro di meditazione "Maharishi", le cui lezioni erano frequentate da Robby e John che si conobbero proprio in quell'occasione. Era il 1965.

La Bhagavad Gita è un testo fondamentale di saggezza e di conoscenza, che contiene la più chiara interpretazione di tutti gli insegnamenti delle Upanishad. I sei capitoli di questa edizione commentata da Maharishi Mahesh Yogi costituiscono a loro volta il cuore di tutta la  Bhagavad Gita. Nel poema, lo stesso Signore Krishna spiega ad Arjuna che l'uomo è per se stesso un amico e un nemico allo stesso tempo, poiché costantemente diviso tra mente e cuore, tra senso del dovere e ricerca del piacere. Lo yoga e la meditazione sono solo il mezzo per equilibrare queste diverse tendenze e liberarsi dalla dualità, unica fonte dell'infelicità.

Bhagavad Gita

Jim, per parte sua, partecipò alle sedute una sola volta e ne rimase piuttosto incuriosito tanto da tirare giù qualche verso.

Fu proprio in quel periodo che Robby e John ebbero più di una discussione con Jim: gli riproveravano di eccedere nell'uso di droghe. A Jim tutto questo dava piuttosto sui nervi: «Dite così solo perchè voi meditate», rispondeva.
